Ajax the best place to live in southern Ontario Canada. Great place to live, play, shop and work. This is a place that still has a small town feeling, while only being 35 minutes to downtown Toronto. A place where you are 10 minutes to skiiing, 5 minutes to the beach, 5 minutes to hiking or 5 minutes to major shopping. This is a place where you will be proud to call home.

Rental Project in the Town of Ajax
Hardwood and Bayly project, I went to the meeting a couple of weeks ago to find out what it was. It looks like a very nice and innovate project. My only concern is that the 2 large towers, to be built 1st, will be 25 floor rental buildings. Since a lot of people in the area are looking for affordable rentals, not high end expensive rentals, what will the atmosphere of this project be. The builder stated that it was easier to get financing for a rental project instead of a condo project, therefore the rentals would come 1st. Hopefully this does not turn out to be the rough and tough area for low income rentals only?? Since we had a shooting last week in the area that ended up finishing off at Falby Court.

Town of Ajax Budget Open House Wards 1 & 2
I just came back from the Budget Open house hosted by the councillor for wards 1 & 2, and the regional councillor for wards 1 & 2. What a tough job, some people's comments were completely rude and uncalled for. We all want to pay less taxes, but in reality we all want a safe and inviting place to call home. We all want a good way of life, and this is what we have here in Ajax. There is always room to improve, but it looks like people don't or can't pay for it. This is a big dilemma, do we do a Rob Ford, and cut everything or do we try to keep some quality of life. Makes you wonder....... One thing for sure if you don't show up for meetings you can't complain.
