Town of Ajax Budget Open House Wards 1 & 2

I just came back from the Budget Open house hosted by the councillor for wards 1 & 2, and the regional councillor for wards 1 & 2. What a tough job, some people's comments were completely rude and uncalled for. We all want to pay less taxes, but in reality we all want a safe and inviting place to call home.  We all want a good way of life, and this is what we have here in Ajax. There is always room to improve, but it looks like people don't or can't pay for it. This is a big dilemma, do we do a Rob Ford, and cut everything or do we try to keep some quality of life.  Makes you wonder....... One thing for sure if you don't show up for meetings you can't complain.

We are located close to everything. Where can you go skiiing one day, walk by the lake the other or go see horse racing the next. We can go hiking or biking in the great trails in our own backyard. We have so many festival, this is a real home town feeling, Ajax is the BEST....
